Obituary of Myrtle Faye West

Bedford Myrtle Faye West, 93, formerly of 54 Lincoln Ave., Bedford died at 10:05 pm on Sunday, May 8, 2004 at the Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford. Born December 30, 1910 in Spencer, IN, she was the daughter of William O. and Alma R. (Kinney) Auten. She married Eugene C. West on September 15, 1935 and he preceded her in death on November 15, 1984. She retired from Indiana Bell Co. after forty-six and years of service as an operator and clerk. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Bedford. Survivors include three grandchildren and her long-time friend and caregiver, JoAnn George of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Jerry West and three brothers. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on May 12th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Leila Dailey officiating. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
