Obituary of Stephan Michael Wellman

Bedford Stephan Michael Wellman, 51, of 126 Lincoln Ave., Bedford, died at 1:19 pm on Monday, February 23, 2004 at Bloomington Hospital following a brief illness. Born May 5, 1952 in Monroe County, he was the son of Charles and Virginia (Newton) Wellman. He married Glenda Connerly on December 6, 1975 and she survives. He was an electronics technician at NWSC Crane and retired from the Indiana National Guard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Viet Nam War. He attended St. Johns Episcopal Church in Bedford. Surviving with his wife, Glenda and his father, Charles are three daughters, Patty Coxsey and her husband, Sean of Bedford, Autumn Wellman of Vincennes and Kayla Wellman at home; one son, Adam Wellman at home; two grandsons, Patrick and Paul Coxsey; one brother, Dana Wellman and his wife, Misty of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews including Clark and Grant Wellman. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Brian Wellman. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 28th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Father Charles Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 27th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 of Bedford.
