Obituary of Robert M. Way

Bedford Robert M. Way, 77, of Bedford, died at 7:05 am on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Garden Villa in Bedford. Born October 30, 1929 in Orange Co., IN, he was the son of William George and Grace Fern (Gardner) Way. He was first married to Donna Wagner. He later married Charlotte Hall. He was a forklift driver for General Motors for thirty-one years, retiring in 1978. He attended the Wesleyan Church and he had been a member of the Bethel Christian Church. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Army. Survivors include four daughters, Bonnie Craig and her husband, Gary of Bedford, Sheila Reef and her husband, Jim, of Mitchell, Vicki McPike and her husband, Harold of Springville, Fran Michelle Chastain of Bedford; one son, Robert A. Way and his wife, Sylvia of Mitchell; two sisters, Janet Tidd of Bedford and Wanda West of Springville; four brothers, John Way of Fayetteville, Paul Way of Bedford, Jerry Way of Ocala, FL and Larry Dean Way of Ellettsville; one half-brother, Billy Way of Indianapolis; one step-brother, Larry Kern of Bedford; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 27th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor James Keaton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 26th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
