Obituary of Robert L Walters

Bedford Robert L. (Foxy) Walters, 70, of 1123 Summitt Lane, Bedford, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at his residence. Born June 16, 1932 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Albert F. and Laura Opal (Stigall) Walters. He married Mary Craig Baxter on March 23, 1983 and she survives. He was a machine operator and janitor at Central Foundry in Bedford retiring in 1987. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #440 and attended the Apostolic Faith Assembly Church. Surviving with his wife, Mary are two sons, DeWayne and Larry Walters both of Bedford; five step-sons, Manuel Barnes, Paul Barnes and John Baxter all of Bedford; Robert Baxter of Austin, TX and Lloyd of St. Louis, MO; one step-daughter, Pam Brown of Bedford; five grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren and one brother, Eugene Walters of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Barry D. Walters; one step-son and two step-daughters. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 15th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
