Obituary of Catherine L. Walls Hopkins

Mitchell Catherine L. Walls Hopkins, 74, of 5193 Kings Ridge Road, Mitchell, passed away at 2:10 am on Friday, January 9, 2004 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born July 26, 1929 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Erie G. and Knoxie L. (Hughes) Terrell. She married Robert W. Walls on June 12, 1946 and he passed away October 12, 1992. She later married William R. Hopkins on October 14, 1996 and he survives. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bryantsville Church of Christ. Surviving with her husband, William are two sons, Daniel R. Walls and his wife, Janet of Bedford and Randy J. Walls; two daughters, Belinda L. Chaney and her husband Harold Dwain and Deborah L. Kirk all of Bedford; one step-son, Michael Hopkins and his wife, Shelly of Indianapolis; eleven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren several great grandchildren; three brothers, Wilbert L., Vernie A. and Gary D. Terrell all of Bedford; six sisters, Helen V. Deckard, Marcia D. Canada, Connie L. Murphy, Sharon K. Ratliff and Rita A. Henderson all of Bedford and Jeri J. Gaines of Texas; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband and three grandchildren. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 12th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kenneth Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
