Obituary of Helen Louise Ray Hupp

Bedford Helen Louise Ray Hupp, 88, of Bedford, passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 4:03 am on Monday, June 08, 2009 at Stonebridge Health Campus. Born May 31, 1921 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Jessie and Zenia (Rogers) Ray. She married Thomas Hupp on June 15, 1940 and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1977. She was a head pastry cook at Indiana University for twenty years retiring in 1987. She attended Chapel on the Hill Church. Survivors include one son, Clifton Hupp and wife, Terry of Bedford; one daughter, Vickie Kinser and husband, Verden of Heltonville; five grandchildren, Darren Hupp of Bedford, Timothy Hupp of Columbus, Verden James Kinser, Jr. of Kentucky, Sheila Donica and husband, Rick of Heltonville, Susan Meadows and husband, Chris of Bedford, two step-grandchildren, Paul Price and wife, Jo and Summer Price all of Bedford; nine great grandchildren;three great great grandchildren; three sisters, Juanita Reuter of Springville, Loretta Eads of Fayetteville and Gloria Dean Poole of Oolitic. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Erma Janette (in infancy), three brothers, Harold, William and Roger Dale Ray. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 11th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Sister Becky Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Smithville Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
