Obituary of Vera Wagner

Bedford Vera Wagner, 93, of Bedford, and formerly of Williams, IN, died at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the White River Lodge. Born March 26, 1914 in the Port Williams area, she was the daughter of Ellis E. and Mary E. (Chapman) Freeman. She married Morries Wagner on September 2, 1932 and he died November 12, 1992. She was retired from M. Fine and Sons and attended the Englewood Baptist Church. Survivors include six daughters, Donna J. Baskette of Georgia, Patricia L. Bowers and Judy Rorie both of North Carolina, Sharon Meyers of Michigan, Susan E. Britt of Murfreesboro, TN and Jill D. Phillips and her husband, Tom of Jeffersonville, IN; seven sons, Charles R. (Bob) and Ronald L. Wagner both of Bedford, Larry Wagner of Florida, Michael Wagner of Nebraska, Bill Wagner of Hanover, IN, Rick Wagner of Illinois and Russell Wagner of Arizona; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Velma Dorsett of Bedford, Virginia Atchinson and Violet Bowers both of Indianapolis and one brother, John Freeman of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, James E. Wagner, two brothers, Rex and Roy Freeman; one granddaughter, Nicole Phillips. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 5th at the Williams Cemetery in Williams, IN with Rev. David Ferry officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 4th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
