Obituary of Margaret Ellen Wadsworth

Hudson, NY Margaret Ellen Wadsworth, 76, of Hudson, NY, died at 2:40 pm on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at I. U. Health Bedford Hospital. Born July 17, 1935 in Philmont, NY, she was the daughter of John Edgar and Alberta (Shutts) Bogardus. She married Gordon Wadsworth on December 12, 1953. She had worked as a bank teller and food service worker at Hudson High School. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She maintained close relationships with her co-workers and school classmates with lunch and bunko dates. Margaret was a wonderful cook, loved to read and work on crossword puzzles. Survivors include a son, Keith Wadsworth and wife, Jennifer of Bedford; a daughter, Karen Schlenker of Islip, NY; grandchildren, Brenton Wadsworth and wife, Jodie of Forsyth, IL, Amy Nikirk and husband, Nathan of Bedford, Erik Schlenker and wife, Noelle of Walnut Creek, CA and Scott Schlenker of Islip, NY; a great grandson, Reid Nikirk. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, John Edgar Bogardus. Funeral Information Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, May 9th and from 10:00 am until the service at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 10th at the Bond Funeral Home in Valatie, NY. The family requests that donations be made to the charity of their choice.
