Obituary of George H. Wade

Shoals George H. Wade, 84, of 21891 Wade Lane, (R 3) Shoals, IN, died at 7:16 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born August 20, 1922 in Martin Co., he was the son of Benjamin C. and Effie Pearl (Davis) Wade. He married Ethel (Gee) on January 8, 1944. He was a maintenance worker at the NWSC CRANE and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WW II. Survivors include his wife, Ethel of Shoals; three sons, Larry Dean Wade of Mitchell, Tommy Lee Wade of Orleans and Ronald Gene Wade of Shoals; two brothers, William Wade of Martinsville and Paul Wade of Bedford; three sisters, Betty Ferguson of Odon, Marie Andis of Bloomington and JoAnn Edwards of Bedford; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Benny Wayne and George Robert Wade; four brothers, Floyd, John, Gordon and Benny Wade; one sister, Dorothy Wade and one grandson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 23rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside. View Video Tribute
