Obituary of Fern Lois Corey Wade

Bedford Fern Lois Corey Wade, 88, of Bedford, died at 8:17 am on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford. Born May 2, 1924 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Lloyd and Ora Inez (Williams) Flinn. She married Jack Corey on July 28, 1961 and he preceded her in death in 1979. She later married Floyd Wade on August 23, 1985 and he also preceded her in death in 2001. She retired from Louden Grocery in Bedford after twenty-five years and was a member of the Southland Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Lloyd Turpin of Corydon; step-children, Jane Carie and husband, Morris of Vincennes, James Wade and wife, Patty of Springville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a step-daughter and a step grandchild. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, February 22nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bud Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinhook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 21st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
