Obituary of Thelma Faye Voyles

Greencastle Thelma Faye Voyles, 97, formerly of Plainfield and Bedford, died at 10:30 am on Monday, September 15, 2003 at Autumn Glen Senior Community in Greencastle, IN. Born November 29, 1905 in Washington County, IN, she was the daughter of Edward and Nancy (Zink) Cauble. She married Ralph G. Voyles on December 24, 1922 and he died December 13, 1984. She worked several years at Kerns Restaurant and was acquainted with many people in the Bedford area. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ. After her husbands death, she moved from Bedford to Plainfield where she enjoyed being close to her family. Survivors include one daughter, Wanda May Clark and her husband, Carl of Mooresville, IN; one son, Donald Lee Voyles and his wife, Mary, of Cloverdale, IN; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Virginia Roslyn (in infancy); two sisters, Ollie Hallowell and Martha Humphrey and one brother, Elbert Cauble. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 18th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Logan Lee officiating. A graveside committal service will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Thursday at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
