Obituary of Lucy Della Blake

Oolitic Lucy Della (Neely) Blake, 87, of 913 Walnut Street, Oolitic, died at 6:10 pm on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at Westview Manor in Bedford. Born October 15, 1915 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Soloman and Minnie (Burton) Greer. She married Walter Neely and he died in 1968. She then married Ray Blake in 1979 and he died in 1992. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith. Survivors include three sons, Roger Neely of Oolitic; Robert Neely of Mitchell and Charles Neely of Ellettsville; three daughters, Joan Graves of Henderson, KY; Norma Phillips of Bedford and Paulette Gilbert of Springville; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; one sister, Rosella Fleetwood of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, three brothers; two sisters and one grandson. Funeral Information Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, July 11th at Springville Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Wendell Phillips officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
