Obituary of Annis Colleen Vaught

Annis Colleen (Prince) Hughes Vaught Annis Colleen (Prince) Hughes Vaught, 75, of Bedford, passed away at 7:33 P.M. Friday, April 25, 2008 at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on February 19, 1933, in Monroe County, IN, she was the daughter of Orlando and Goldie (Deckard) Prince. She had worked at Sarkes Tarzans and RCA. She enjoyed gospel music and televangelist. She first married Lloyd Hughes Jr. He passed away November 1967. She later married Jess Vaught and he passed away in 2004. Surviving are one sister, Nina Reynolds of Bedford; one brother Vernon E. Bartlett and his wife, Betty of Indianapolis; one niece, Becky Keithley of Heltonville; two daughter-in-laws, Bonnie Watson Hughes and Wilma Mynatt Hughes; four grandchildren Mandy Hughes Jones and her husband, Tony; Larry Hughes, Justin Hughes and his wife, Lisa and Edward Hughes; six great-grandchildren, Dillion, Kristi, Dusty, and Dakota Pemberton, Trey and Donavan Hughes; four step great-grandchildren, Abbey, Chasity, Troy and Aaron and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two sons, Garry Hughes and Larry Hughes, and one grand-daughter Samantha Hughes. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 29th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day and Carter Mortuary with Harold Godsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Hanson Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 29th from 11:00 until the service hour at Day and Carter Mortuary.
