Obituary of Jess D. Vaught

Heltonville Jess Vaught, 78, of Heltonville died at 3:10 pm on Sunday, March 28, 2004 at Select Specialty Hospital in Bloomington. Born June 11, 1925 in Casey County, KY. He was the son of Elzie Bill and Florance Willie Vaught. He married Annis Colleen (Prince) (Hughes). He was of the Pentecostal Faith and was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He retired as a mechanic from Schneider Trucking in Lansing, Illinois. Surviving with his wife, Annis are one stepson, Larry Hughes, two brothers, Howard and Bill Vaught, four step grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Warren and Dave Vaught, one sister, Myrtle, one stepson, Gary Hughes, one step granddaughter, Samantha Hughes. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 31st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Hansen Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 30, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and 11:00 am until the time of the service on Wednesday, March 31st, at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
