Obituary of Frances L. Turpin

Bedford Frances L. Turpin, 94, of Bedford, died at 7:31 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Stonebridge Health Campus. Born August 22, 1914 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Ben Franklin and Nellie (Duzan) Thomas. She married Lawrence Turpin on April 22, 1946 and he died on December 18, 1965. She was a drill-press operator for Briggs Corporation and a member of the Bedford Free Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Joseph Mirl Hampton of Bedford; one granddaughter, Marsha Mundy of Mitchell; two great grandchildren, Nathalie Hampton and Amanda Dawn Mundy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Clifford Amos Thomas and one sister, Violet E. Thomas Hampton. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, August 3rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor John Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
