Obituary of Pearl Anne Hunter

Bedford Pearl has fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. Now she has gone to accept her reward. Born July 4, 1921 to Sophia and Everett Wade at Bedford. She married Hubert Hunter on July 9, 1939 at Mundell Christian Church by Rev. Claude Reuter. She lived at the same location for sixty-six years and was a member of the Mundell Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School classes for many years and was later the church librarian. She worked at Kresges for five years, was library aide at Shawswick School for five years, then ten years at the Bedford Public Library retiring in January 1982. She then started a library at the Mundell Church, built it up for eighteen years and retired from that in 2000 for health reasons. Survivors include children, Patricia Atchison and her husband, Marvin and Danny Hunter and his wife, Leah Jane all of Bedford; grandchildren, Shonja and David Miracle of Bedford, Beth and David Kern of Edwardsville, IL, Becky and Troy Lutgens of Ellettsville and Brad and Jami Hunter of Bedford; great grandchildren, Kayla and Kristen Miracle, Allison and Brandon Kern, Matthew, Jackson and Levi Hunter, and Isabella Lutgens; six step-grandchildren and seventeen step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, Charles, Robert, Edgar Wayne and Donald Wade; grandparents, two grandsons, Greg Hunter and Jamie Murphy; one daughter-in-law, Toni Rae Hunter and two sisters, Olive Whitted and Mary Clouse. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 16th at the Mundell Christian Church with Bro. John Wisley officiating. Burial will follow in the Mundell Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday at the Mundell Christian Church.
