Obituary of Gwendolyn Turner

Gwen Turner, 82, of Bedford, died at 3:12 am on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital. Born March 19, 1929 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Ora and Elizabeth (Brewer)Turner. She was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church and the ABC quilting club. Survivors include her many nieces, nephew, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Ray, George, Fred, and Kenny Turner; and five sisters, Beulah Mabbitt, Betty Boyd, Esther Sherrow, Coletia Rollens, and Marjorie Hunter. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 28th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kyle Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, February 27th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
