Obituary of Elizabeth Turner

Springville Elizabeth Turner, 87, of Springville, died at 6:55 pm on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born May 25, 1922 in Wayne Co., KY, she was the daughter of Samuel Lloyd and Allie (Godsey) Hughes. She married Paul F. Turner on May 15, 1937 and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1975. She later married Winfred Wells and he preceded her in death on February 16, 2009. She was retired from Dunn Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Fayetteville Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Whitehead-Barrett (Bob) of Bedford and Loretta Fields (Wayne) of Springville; two sons, Robert Turner (Kay) and Michael Turner (Norma) all of Heltonville; thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Leach of Temple, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, four sisters, Zina Strunk, Eva Strunk, Gloria Jean Magnus and Catherine Osborn: five brothers, Richard, Ronnie, Lloyd, Jr., Cecil and Bob Hughes; one grandson, Raymond Turner and one great grandson, Zachariah Wells. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 25th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Kenny Walden officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, May 24th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
