Obituary of Dorothy Turner

Oolitic-Dorothy Turner, 90, of 414 Lafayette Ave. Oolitic, IN died at 11:50 pm on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Stonebridge Health Campus. Born January 28, 1922 in Lawrence County she was the daughter of Jesse and Chloe (Prittchett) Ray. She married Robert Turner on November 29, 1944. She was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church. She retired from the Fuller Brush Company in Oolitic after 25 years and was also a homemaker. Dorothy loved flowers, sitting on the porch, and to crochet. Survivors include: her husband: Robert of Oolitic; one daughter: Carolyn McCart and her husband Don of Bloomington; two granddaughters: Michelle Duncan and her husband Dan of Bloomington, and Shannon Craig and her husband Josh of Charlotte, NC; two great grandchildren: Liam and Lily Craig. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kyle Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, November 12th.
