Obituary of Juanita J. Turner
Bedford-Juanita J. Turner, 85, of Bedford died at 6:50 A.M. on Saturday, April 05, 2008 at the St. Francis Select Hospital in Beech Grove. Born October1, 1922 in Lawrence County she was the daughter of Perry and Mary (Byers) May. She married Maynard J. Turner in 1943 and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1988. She was a member of the Gullets Creek Baptist Church in Needmore. She had worked for RCA in Bloomington and for Central Foundry in Bedford. Survivors include two sons: Rickie Turner and wife Teresa of Williams, and Kenny Turner and wife Carol of Bedford; two daughters: Karen Goen and husband Richard of Needmore, and Marsha Bladen of Bedford; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother: Bernard May and wife Phyllis of Needmore; one half sister Helen Clampitt of Bloomington: one sister-in-law Pauline May. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one granddaughter Paula Godsey, and two brothers: John D. and Claude Edward May. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 8th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Johnny Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, April 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
