Obituary of Goldia I. Tumey

Bedford Goldia I. Tumey, 76, of 228 20th Street, Bedford, died at 4:30 am on Sunday, March 27, 2005 at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Born June 20, 1928 in Ripley County, IN, she was the daughter of Edward and Bessie (Cain) Haas. She married Carroll F. Tumey in 1946 and he died in 1996. She was employed at Westinghouse Mfg. in Bloomington for twenty-six years and was a member of Gulletts Creek Baptist Church in Needmore. Survivors include two sons, Alan Tumey of Houston, TX and Tom Tumey of Goshen, IN; four grandchildren, Natalie Cole, Tara Thompson, Tanya Tumey and Justin Tumey; two great grandchildren, Austin Cole and Zachary Thompson; two brothers, Robert Haas and Findley Haas; two sisters, Alice Henninger and Jessie Everling. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Paul Haas and Leonard Haas and one grandchild, Todd Tumey. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 31st from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Lewis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 30th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
