Obituary of Ruth Tolliver

Oolitic Ruth Tolliver, 88, of Oolitic, died at 6:47 pm on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Garden Villa in Bedford. Born June 14, 1922 in Oolitic, she was the daughter of William and Ella (Boruff) Troxel. She married Chester Tolliver on December 20, 1941 and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1989. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include one daughter, Karen Kean of Columbus, OH; three sons, Chuck Tolliver and wife, Joyce of Bedford, Jerry Tolliver and wife, Ruth Ann of Bedford, Darrell Tolliver and wife, LeAnn of Mitchell; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, Porter Troxel and wife, Chris of Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Bill Tolliver; three brothers, Forrest, Boyd and Freeman Troxel. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 6th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Mark Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, January 6th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
