Obituary of William W. Todd

Heltonville- Bill Todd, 73, of 1739 Salem Road, Heltonville, died at 8:02 A.M. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital. Born November 23, 1937 in Lawrence County he was the son of Ralph N. and Laverne (Norman) Todd. He married Rowena Johnson on September 22, 1956 and she survives. He worked as a supervisor for General Motors before his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the Heltonville Christian Church, a member of the Leesville Masonic Lodge #161 F. & A.M. and a past president of the Gilgal Cemetery Association. Survivors include his wife Rowena of Heltonville; two sons: Monty Todd and his wife Doris of Heltonville, Brent Todd and his wife Kimberley of Indianapolis; four grandchildren: Shannon Purdy and her husband Troy, Aaron Todd, Amelia Todd, and Andrew Todd; two sisters: Rosemary Manzenberger of Oolitic, Ruth Ballantyne of Bedford; two brothers: John Todd of Chattanooga, TN, Jerry Todd of Chesterton, IN; uncles and aunts, Ermil and Lola norman, Rita Norman and Helen Todd. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son: William Joseph Todd; one brother: Donald Todd; one sister: Barbara Bundy. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 22nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Everett Bud Vanest and Bro. James Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilgal Cemetery in Heltonville. Friends may call from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, March 21st and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, March 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
