Obituary of Robert W. Tipton

Bedford Robert W. (Bobby) Tipton, Jr. 41, of Bedford, died at 4:03 am on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford. Born September 4, 1968, he was the son of Robert (Whitey) Tipton and Patty (Ashley) Sanders. He was a mechanic and a wonderful handyman who loved to help people. He enjoyed Kentucky basketball and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #689 in Bedford. Survivors include his mother, Patty Sanders and husband, Byron of Bedford; his father, Robert (Whitey) Tipton and wife, Rita of Bedford; three children, Daniel Taylor, Megan Tipton and Clayton Tipton; two sisters, Lisa Harper and husband, Billy of Mitchell and Missi Southern and her companion, Kyle Peters of Mitchell; a step-brother, Troy Taylor of Bedford; a step-sister, Julie Crane and husband, Mike of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews; maternal grandmother, Lorene Ashley of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Doug and Emily Tipton; maternal grandfather, Morris Ashley; cousins, Shannon Rainey and J.R. Tipton Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, July 30th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Glen Hamer and Rev. Andrew Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Crawford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 29th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, July 30th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
