Obituary of Leonard William Tincher

Avoca Leonard William Tincher, 91, of Avoca, died at 4:30 am on Monday, May 2, 2005 at Westview Manor Nursing and Rehab. Center in Bedford. Born July 7, 1913 in Greene County, he was the son of Earl and Clara (Hensley) Tincher. He married Elsie Bernice Martindale and she preceded him in death. He then married Dorval Jackson in 1959 and she survives. He was employed by the Milwaukee Railroad and a member of the Faith Mission Church in Bedford where he had served as pastor. He was also a pastor at the Wesleyan Church in Paoli. Surviving with his wife, Dorval are three sons, Marion Tincher, of Avoca, Larry Tincher of Guthrie, and Chester Tincher of Springville; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Elsie, one son, Ronald Tincher; one sister, Edith Cmar and one brother, Merle Tincher. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 4th at the Faith Mission Church in Bedford with Pastor Leonard Sankey officiating. Burial will follow in Avoca Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 3rd and from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Wednesday at Faith Mission Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Faith Mission Building Fund.
