Obituary of Delmar L. Thompson
Bloomington-Delmar L. Thompson, 83, died at 4:45 am on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Bloomington.
Born February 19, 1925 in Bedford, he was the son of Rathimel and Vangie (Neely) Thompson. He married Betty J. Roberts and she preceded him in death in 1986. He was retired from NSWC Crane as an Electrical Engineer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the VFW Post at Crane.
Survivors include two sons: Paul W. Thompson and his wife Virginia of Owensburg, Phillip B. Thompson and his wife Peggy of Solsberry; two daughters: Patricia Helton and her husband Lowell of Bloomfield, Peggy Hutchens and her husband Jeff of Springville; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; three sisters: Pauline Coursey, Martha Phillips, and Jenna Kay Bosell all of Springville; four brothers: Hobart Thompson of Springville, Charles Thompson of Switz City, Dallas Thompson of Stanford, and Donnie Thompson of Loogootee. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother Roy Thompson. Funeral Information
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 16th at the Owensburg Cemetery in Owensburg. Friends may call from 5:00 pm until8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
