Obituary of Errol Wayne Thompson
Oolitic Errol Wayne (Cotton) Thompson, 69, of Oolitic, passed away at 2:58 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at I. U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born January 7, 1944 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Robert and Madeline (Flynn) Thompson. He married Mary Lou Andis on November 6, 1982 and she survives. He retired from General Electric and was a member of the Mitchell V.F.W. Auxiliary #9107. He enjoyed reading, fishing and golf.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou of Oolitic; two daughters, Rennah White of Bloomington and Tammy Chandler and husband, Curtis of Bedford; a son, Kevin Hearth of Oolitic; grandchildren, Jessica Tomlinson of Bedford, R.J. Rhodes of Bloomington, Haley Chandler of Bedford, Wesley Hearth of Oolitic and Nathaniel Hearth of Logansport; two great grandchildren, Konnor James Grubb of Bedford and Gracie Lynn Hays-White of Bedford; three brothers, Junior Thompson and wife, Ann and Larry Thompson both of Bedford and Eugene Thompson and wife, Sharon of Kirksville. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Rita Ann Thompson; a granddaughter, Jana Lynn Tomlinson; a grandson, Roy Wayne White; a sister, Wilma Jean Thompson. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 22nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Larry Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 21st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
