Obituary of Clifford L. Thomas

Owensburg- Clifford L. Thomas, 90, of RR#3 Owensburg passed away at 12:23 A.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at his residence. Born October 20, 1919 in Owensburg he was the son of Arthur and Minnie (Akles) Thomas. He married Jessie (White) Thomas on March 12, 1938 in Owensburg and she preceded him in death on February 16, 2007. He was a member of the Owensburg Church of Christ. He had been an employee of B.G. Hadley Co. in Bloomington, IN and W.L. Thomas, Inc. in Owensburg, IN Survivors include one daughter: Joyce Jones and her husband Jim of Jasper; one son: Ron Thomas and his wife Diana of Springville; five grandchildren: Tom Jones, Jill Jones Wigand and her husband Dean, Brian Thomas and his wife Shannon, Brent Thomas and his wife Chasidy, and Angela Thomas; eleven great grandchildren: Tyler, Britni, Jordan, Kyle, Tanner, Quinn, Devyn, Lauren, Macie, Logan, and MacKena; two great great grandsons Caden, and Tyson; one sister Roberta Herald of Owensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three sisters: Lilian Fields, Martha Swango, and Betty Thompson, two brothers: Willis Thomas and Lexie Roberts. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 17th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Paul Guthrie officiating. Burial will follow in the Owensburg Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, November 16th from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
