Obituary of Alan Beyers
Oolitic - Alan J. Beyers, 49, of Oolitic passed away at 5:35 P.M. Friday, April 20, at his residence.
Born on November 6, 1957 in Lawrence County he was the son of Richard Byers and Wilma (Lewis) Beeson. He was raised by his paternal grandparents Ace and Grace Beyers and his Aunt Frances NannyBeyers. He married Tina Mitchell on December 12, 1980 and she survives. He was employed as a painter by Pritchett Brothers Construction. He attended New Life Trinity Holiness Tabernacle in Bedford. He was a member of the Painters Union Local 440.
Surviving with his wife are 2 sons, Timothy and Joshua Beyers both at home. One Sister Robin Gates and her companion Jon Jeffries; two brothers, Randy Byers and his wife Angie of Greenwood, and Bryan Byers of Rushville, IN; three half brothers Greg, J.D., and Kevin Quackenbush all of Lynnville,IN; one niece Susan Sipes and her husband Dan of Bedford; one nephew Jeff Gates and his wife Michelle of Indianapolis; two great nephews Dylan and Nathan Sipes of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother Richard and Susie Byers, maternal grandparents Howard and Leveda Lewis, paternal grandparents Ace and Grace Beyers, and one Aunt Frances Nanny Beyers. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 24th 2007 from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Mark Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford. Friends may call from 3:00pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, April 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information
