Obituary of Paul Allen

Indianapolis Paul Allen, 83, of 717 South Stony-Brook Dr., Muncie, IN, formerly of Bloomington and Bedford, died at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 19, 2004 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Born March 2, 1921 in Martin County, IN, he was the son of John T. and Ola (Bays) Allen. He married Marjorie L. Clements on July 25, 1942 and she died December 28, 1993. He married C. Susan Glick on June 19, 2004 and she survives. He retired from NWSC CRANE in 1974 and from North Lawrence School Corp. in 1988. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bedford and the Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM. He was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Army Rangers. Survivors include his wife, C. Susan Glick Allen; one son, Paul David Allen of Muncie; four brothers, Carl Allen of Bloomfield, Robert Allen of Owensburg, John Allen of Bloomfield and James Allen of Odon; one sister, Nellie Boling of Odon and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and two sisters, Helen Leukhardt and Mabel Allen. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 23rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery at Crane, IN where military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Thursday by members of Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM.
