Obituary of Glen D. Taylor

Bedford-Glen D. Taylor, 70, of 2612 R Street, passed away at 7:30 A.M. Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on April 18, 1935 in Eureka, IN he was the son of Ephriam F. Taylor and Eva May (Morrow) Taylor. He retired in 1993 from the Bedford Filtration Plant. He had also worked as a supervisor for Swifty; Manager for the Mitchell Kocolene and was a police officer in Mitchell from 1966-1967 and attended the Peerless Pentecostal Church. He married Betty M. Payton on January 23, 1954 and she survives. Surviving with his wife Betty of Bedford are two daughters: Glennda Stotts and Linda Holt both of Bedford; one son: Larry Taylor of Mitchell; four grandchildren: Stormi Taylor; Shandi Weiss; Joni Tow and Orvelle Taylor; five great grandchildren: Tyler Fraizer; Austin Fraizer; Kendra Taylor; Daivd Weiss and Jordan Taylor; four brothers: Gerald Jake Taylor of Mitchell, IN; Emery Taylor, Herman Taylor and Guy D. Taylor all of Bedford, IN; four sisters: Wanda Cunnington, Ocie Brown, Adeline Fortner, Christeen Strunk all of Bedford, IN and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter: Betty Jean Taylor; two brothers: Norman Taylor and James Taylor and two sisters: Angie May Taylor, Josephine Hughes. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Brother Alan Phillips officiating. Friends may call at Day & Carter on Tuesday, May 31st from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from noon until the service hour.
