Obituary of Robert E. Tarr

Bedford-Robert E. Tarr, 78, of Bedford died at 5:10 am on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Mitchell Manor Nursing Home. Born June 30, 1934 in Bedford he was the son of Eddie and Edith Susie Tarr. He married Rowena Sue Pritchett and she preceded him in death. He retired from the Herald Times after 20 years as a typesetter. He was a Marine veteran serving during the Korean War. Survivors include one son: Robert Tarr of Bedford; four grandchildren: Therese, Robert, Frederick, and Angela; three brothers: Roy, Don, and Bud Tarr. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one sister, Frances Ray. Funeral Information Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20th at the Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg with Johnny Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm on Wednesday, March 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
