Obituary of Glennie Gilbert Sutton

Bedford Glennie Gilbert Sutton, 83, of Bedford, died at 10:40 am on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at the Westview Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford. Born May 18, 1923 in Laurel Co., KY, she was the daughter of Wallis and Delia (Moore) Gilbert. She married Bennie Sutton and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the Concord Baptist Church in Paoli. Survivors include four brothers, Voy Gilbert and his wife, Phyllis of Oolitic, Kenneth Gilbert and his wife, Marilyn of Florida, Jim Gilbert and his wife, Julie of Knox, IN, Beachel Gilbert and his wife, Goldie of Martinsville; two sisters, Ruth Pace and her husband, Jack of Oolitic and Amanda Cole Steward of London, KY; a sister-in-law, Jewell Gilbert of Bedford and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Burchel and Stanley Gilbert. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 6th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Paoli. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 5th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
