Obituary of Charles E. Sutton

Bedford Charles E. Sutton, 84, of 802 9th Street, Bedford, died at 7:40 pm on Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born February 8, 1926 in Spencer, IN, he was the son of George and Hazel (Livingston) Sutton. He married Myra Smith on March 20, 1973 and she survives. He was a forklift operator at General Motors and a custodian at Indiana University. He was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church. Surviving with his wife, Myra of Bedford are four step-daughters, Terri Goddard and husband, Jeff of Vero Beach, FL, Susan Duke of Terre Haute, IN, Tammy Chambers and husband, Perry of Bloomington, Kim Roberts and husband, Tommy of Bedford; three sons, Bob Sutton of Tennessee, Leonard Sutton of Indianapolis and Raymond Sutton; one sister, Shirley Butcher; one brother, Jackie Sutton. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Cindy Lou; a step-son, Leroy Fleener; a grandson, Christopher Buchanan and a brother, Bob Sutton. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 29th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Michael Eggers officiating. Burial will follow in the Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, June 28th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, June 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
