Obituary of Melissa Sullivan

Bedford Melissa Missy Sullivan, 41, of 3346 Leatherwood Road, Bedford, passed away at 2:03 pm on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital. Born December 11, 1969 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Lebert and Mary Lou (Foster) May. She married Scott Sullivan on April 8, 1989 and he survives. She volunteered with the Shawswick Youth League for fifteen years. She was a member of the Womens Auxiliary of the Bedford Boat and Sportsmans Club. She enjoyed camping and riding their Harley-Davidson motorcycle. She loved her children and grandchildren and spending time with her many dear friends. Survivors include her husband, Scott of Bedford; her father, Lebert May of Bedford; children, Adam and Ashlyn Godsey, Ethan, Ezra and Elijah Sullivan; grandchildren, Cain and Coby Godsey and Maddy May Norman; two sisters, Sherry Brown and husband, Mike, of Mitchell, Penny Godsey of Bedford; one brother, Dexter Butch May and wife, Stacey of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 28th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Larry Dalton and Martie Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Lawrence Co. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Saturday, August 27th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
