Obituary of Grace Ilene Sullivan

Bedford Grace Ilene Sullivan, 87, formerly of Hillside Dr. in Bedford, died at 5:40 am on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Garden Villa in Bedford. Born January 1, 1921, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Charles and Lela (Taylor) Maxwell. She married Clavorn H. Sullivan on January 8, 1942 and he died on March 20, 1999. She was a retail clerk for Kirlins Hallmark and J.C. Penney in Bedford and a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include three daughters, Lynda Slate and her husband, Mike and Beverly Bundy of Bedford, Marsha DeVol of Ellettsville; three sons, Jon Sullivan and his wife, Renae of Bedford, Gary Sullivan and his wife, Lynette of Atlanta, GA and Douglas Sullivan of Florida; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Alma Gerbrech of Indianapolis and Barbara Brinegar of Greenwood; one brother, Edgar Maxwell of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Janice Margiotta; one son, Dennis Sullivan; four brothers, Dale, Art, Clytus and Doyle Maxwell; one sister, Geneva Roach. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, August 22nd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Bob Dailey officiating. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 21st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
