Douglas "Tiny" Stutsman
Mitchell - Douglas Stutsman, 62, Mitchell, passed away on Saturday morning, May 21, 2011 at his residence.
Born September 18, 1948 in Scottsburg, he was the son of Ellsworth E. and Edith J. (Gibson) Stutsman. He married Evelyn Bruce on September 28, 1969. Douglas retired in 2009 as a tool and die maker for General Motors. He was of the Christian faith and was a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; his mother, Edith Stutsman of Columbus; a brother, Gerald Stutsman and wife Barbara of Columbus; a brother-in-law, Bob Wagner of Bedford; nephews, Scott Stutsman of Scottsburg, Dan Wagner and wife Misty of Mitchell, and Aaron Wagner of Bedford, Dale Bruce and wife Debbie of Columbus; nieces Evelyn K. Blackburn of Clifford, Jane Hammond and husband Dick of Columbus, and Patty Bunton and husband Jody of Columbus; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 26th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Reverend Glenn Duncan and Reverend Bill McKee officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 25th and from 11:00 am until service time on Thursday, May 26th. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 25th. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
