Obituary of Cledis Dale Hubbard

Bedford, Cledis Dale Hubbard, 90, of Old Farm Road in Springville, died at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 26th, at the Hospitality House in Bedford. Born on July 15, 1914 in Oolitic, he was the son of Charles and Iva Pearl (Eastridge) Hubbard. He married Coy Hazel Hall on August 3, 1935 and she survives. He retired from Crane as a supervisor after 25 years and was a life-long resident of Lawrence County. He was affiliated with the Oolitic and Springville Methodist Church. His hobby was horseshoes in which he was the state champion in 1977. Surviving with the wife of Springville is one daughter: Janet King and husband, Larry of Springville; two sons: Ronald Hubbard and his wife, Ruby of Bloomington; Michael Hubbard and his wife, Deniese of Norman; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Clarence Hubbard; two sisters: Arie Anderson and Maxine Staley. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 29th, from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kenny Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Christian Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, March 28th, and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, March 29th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
