Obituary of David Ray Stogdill

Bedford David Ray Stogdill, 66, of 2322 30th Street, Bedford, died at 4:12 am on Friday, February 6, 2009 at his residence. Born March 2, 1942 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Cecil and Emma (Adams) Stogdill. He married Diana Johnson on August 12, 1966 and she preceded him in death. He was a welder for General Motors and a member of the Lovingway Apostolic Church in Bedford. Survivors include four daughters, Stacey Barksdale and her husband, Troy of Oolitic, Lynn Fish and her husband, Mark, Deborah Pridemore and her husband, Brian, and Dana Anderson all of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Troi Dawn and Derrike Barksdale, Andy and Corey Fish, Megan Pridemore, Marissa and Madison Anderson; one sister, Sue Stephenson and her husband, Max of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one brother, Dean Stogdill. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, February 9th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Wesley Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery.
