Obituary of John William Hubbard

Bedford John William Bill Hubbard, 78, of Bedford, died at 9:34 pm on Sunday, June 11, 2006 at Westview Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. Born January 30, 1928 in Bedford, he was the son of Austin O. and Hilda (Foster) Hubbard. He first married Maxine Cannon and later married Virginia Lewis and they both preceded him in death. He was a bus driver for Greyhound Bus. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include; two sons, John W. Hubbard, II of Lexington, SC and Jeffrey Jay Hubbard of Thermal, CA, two sisters, Katie Aeillo of Indio, CA and Betty Jackson of Bedford, one brother, Gene Hubbard. He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives and one daughter, LeeAnn in infancy. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, June 15th at 12:30 PM in the White River Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by the members of the American Legion Post #33.
