Obituary of Mary E. Stewart

Oolitic Mary E. Stewart, 91, of Oolitic, passed away Thursday morning at Garden Villa. Born on December 24, 1922 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of David H. and Inez (Lewis) Miller. She married Charles R. Stewart on September 20, 1941 and he preceded her in death on August 8, 2000. She retired as a cook from Oolitic Schools. Surviving are one son, Danny Stewart and his wife Nancy of Oolitic; two daughters, Diana Flynn and husband, Monte Dwayne of Springville, and Donna Chinn of Garrettsville, OH; nine grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; twin sister, Marie Helen Bingham; sister, Hilda Rose Mitchell; sister, Dorothy Gayle Miller in infancy. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 21st, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church in Springville with Bob Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the hour of service on Monday at the church.
