Obituary of Charlene R. Howell

Bedford- Charlene R. Howell, 90 of Bedford, died at 3:20 am Saturday, December 04, 2004 at the Bloomington Hospital. Born June 27, 1914 in Jackson Co. IN, she was the daughter of Charles S. and Ruth E. (Gallion) Wright. She married Kenneth L. Howell on August 17, 1933 and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1996. She was a homemaker and a member of the Avoca Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Kenneth Thomas (Tom) Howell and his wife Mary Sue of Seymour, two daughters Shirley Ann Cummings and her husband John, and Rita Kay Beavers and her late husband Larry of Bedford, eight grandchildren; Gale Rosberg and her husband Steve of Greenwood, Yonda Gay Darlage and her husband Lynn of Logansport, Brian Cummings and his wife Phyllis of Mooresville, Susan Annette Lipscomb of Bedford, Darron Cummings and his wife Stephanie of Columbus, Aaron Pritchett and his wife Julie of Bedford, Kristin Messmore and her husband Steve of Bedford, and Kenneth Eric Howell of Seymour; nine great grandchildren, Chad, Nicholas, and Jacob Darlage, Dawn Davis, McKenzie, and Austin Messmore, Benjamin Pritchett, Shelby and Erica Stinson; one great great granddaughter, Stevie Lynn Davis and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Marilyn Sue Pritchett, and two granddaughters in infancy, Jana Lynette, and Lisa Diane; two sisters Beachie L. Harrell and Mary Jane Howell; one brother David Wright. Funeral Information Friends may call from 3:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, December 6th at the Day and Carter Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 7th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day and Carter Mortuary with Rev. Kyle Witmer officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
