Obituary of Lorna Mae Stailey

AndersonLorna Mae Roberts Stailey, 79, of 4921 Plantation Street, Anderson, IN passed away at 5:05 A.M. Monday, July 17, 2006 at her residence. She was born September 22, 1926 in Springville, IN to Laban Roberts & Vannie Colvin Roberts. She married Delmer Steve Stailey on June 4, 1942 in Bedford, IN and he survives. She was a lifelong resident of Bedford until 2004 when she and her husband moved to Anderson, Indiana to be closer to their son. She worked for RCA for over eight years. She attended Calvary Chapel. On June 4th Steve and Mae celebrated 64 years of marriage. Surviving with her husband, Steve is two children: daughter, Brenda Everitt and her husband, Orin of Anderson, IN; son, Terry Stailey and his wife, Diane of Daleville, IN; sister: Jewell Waldon of Bedford, IN; step sisters: Mabel Day of Williams, IN, Irene Hall of Phoenix, AZ and Imogene Randolph of Bedford, IN; step brother: Freddie Barringer of Jacksonville, FL; half brothers: Roy Roberts of Phoenix, AZ, John Roberts of Mesa, AZ and Bobby Roberts of Sun City, AZ; five grandchildren: Marianne Scott and her husband, Emmett, Steven and Tony Arena, Kim Leahy and her husband, John, Mike Stailey and his wife, Linda; great grandchildren: Justin and Lauren Scott, Kyla Roberts, Joseph and Addison Arena, Matthew and Sarah Leahy, Kiersten and Ryan Stailey and 11 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Kenneth Roberts. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 19th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. James McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca, IN.
