Obituary of Mary Eileen Beedie

Oolitic Mary Eileen Beedie, 89, of Oolitic, died Monday, June 21, 2010 at Johnsons Christian Village in Bedford. Born January 6, 1921 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Clarence and Nellie (Allen) Hosea. She married James A. Bud Beedie, Sr. on September 16, 1939 and he preceded her in death on August 23, 1992. She later married Hugh Jean of Mitchell. She was a homemaker and had worked at M. Fine & Sons in Bedford. She was a life-long member of the Dive Christian Church. Survivors include a son, James Anthony Beedie and wife, Vicky of Bedford; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clarence A. Bud, Theresa Terry Beedie of Heltonville; a daughter, Janice Eileen Neely and husband, Roger of Oolitic; four grandchildren, Troy and wife, Diana (Ferguson) Beedie of Brownstown, Jamison and wife, Heather (Geyger) Beedie of Heltonville, Scott Neely of Springville, Sheli (Neely) Jean and husband, Jacob of Georgetown, KY; fifteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Clarence A. Bud Beedie; a grandson, Ted Beedie; a granddaughter, Annette Brewer and a sister, Margaret Draus and great grandson, James Godsey. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
