Obituary of Nelma V. Simmerman

Bedford Nelma V. Simmerman, 87, of 1515 15th Street, Bedford, died at 7:15 am on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at Westview Manor Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford. Born April 23, 1920 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Harley D. and Ada (Craig) Rollins. She married Robert Simmerman and he preceded her in death in 1972. She retired from Dunn Memorial Hospital where she had worked in housekeeping. She attended the New Union Church. Survivors include one son, Glen Simmerman of Bedford; two grandsons; three great grandchildren and four nieces. She was preceded in death by one son, Keith Simmerman; one sister, Levedah Lewis; three brothers, Glen, Ermal and Ed Richards and one grandson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 2nd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Silverville. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
