I was so sorry to hear of Bonnie's passing. I didn't know her but other members of my family did, and they all loved her. She seems to have been a very special person. I knew Linda in school and went to school with Ron for all our school years, and graduated with him. My heart goes out to all of you and I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers.

What an honor & privilage 2 have had Bonnie Silvers in my life! After seeing all the people that came 2 her visitation this evening, I know they all felt the same way too. Heaven has her now but her presence here on earth will continue on thru all of us that knew & loved her but more so, all the lives she changed thru her love of Jesus & her gift of sharing his Gospel. Only God knows how many lives she truly changed but it is such a blessing 2 hear others say she changed theirs. I know I feel blessed 2 have known her & I will always have wonderful memories of my time with her & all the wonderful talks we had.

Ron and family, My heart is breaking for you. Though we were only together a handful of times, we felt like family from the first time. I was just waiting for Bonnie to retire so she could come to Tar Hollow and make cinnamin rolls again. I so wanted to work along side her in the kitchen. Though seperated by miles, we are with you in thoughts and prayers.

I had the privilege of working with Bonnie this past year at Oolitic School and I thank the Lord that I got to meet this amazing, wonderful lady. She had such a sweet smile, and I loved to hear her laugh. And she made the best chicken & noodles I've ever ate! It was through her that I learned about the Good News Club & she willingly gave of her time to help us get one started at Heltonville School. I will cherish every moment I got to spend with her & I pray that God will comfort her family that she loved so dearly. She will be forever in our hearts.

My brother wrote this the morning after Mom left us, and insisted he not be credited for it, but I think it is the most beautiful thing I have ever read.
The Morning After
As I got out of bed from a sleepless night, I arose to find the Heavens had opened up and was weeping with me. I was crying in loss and remorse and sorrow, yet their tears were in rejoice and gratitude and of welcoming home. For all of my loss is all of their gain and what a wonderful addition she will make to that place that is more perfect than any can imagine. Only she can improve on perfection, for such a soul as hers must outshine all others but His. She lived her life as in the dreams of children and made our world a better place because of it.
When I came home from Dad's last night, there was a rainbow ending my yard, I knew it was Mom smiling at me.
I love you Mom.

How sad I was when I heard of Bonnie's passing. What a light in the darkness she always was at Oolitic School! She was one I always wanted to see when I went back. She loved children and I'm sure there will be many adults there in heaven that will say she is the one that showed me the way to the love of God. She will be missed at Oolitic I'm sure and she will always have a place in my heart. Our hearts go out to you her family...because we know she can't be replaced. God bless you and comfort you...she loved her family so much. Our prayers, Pat & Gary Bolton

Cousin Ronnie and Family - So much sorrow in my heart when I heard of Bonnie's passing. Her light will certainly shine brightly in heaven and God will have much work for her yet to do. I never knew she was involved in Child Evangelism which is something I do as well and is close to my heart. Bonnie had such a calm and soothing way about her. She was truly loved.
Ronnie - please know I love you and hurting for you right now. When we have faith, we know our loved ones are in a wonderful place, but we can't help but miss their presence here. Please take comfort in knowing she had quite a welcoming committee to greet her in heaven.
God's love and comfort to all of you, Nancy

Dearest Aunt Bonnie
You were a role model to me as a child. Since you were close in age, you seemed a friend and not an aunt to me. I remember spending the night at Grandmas and giggling and telling scary stories with you and Aunt Linda.
I remember you saying once that you read cookbooks just for the fun of it. Like Grandma and the other women of our family, you were a good cook.
You always had a cheerful attitude and a smile for everyone.
I will miss you so much.
Shirley

My deepest sympathy to the family. It's been a long time since I had last seen Bonnie, but I can picture her perfectly in my mind, with her big hair. My favorite memories were of going to their house when we were young (We called her Mom and Dad Mamaw Senie and Uncle Luther), and eating grapes off the vine. I think Bonnie and Linda got a kick out of that. My Mom & Dad loved those girls, and I'm sure they are there in Heaven to meet her. I will miss her, though.

You had a precious jewel for a WIFE, MOTHER, and GRANDMOTHER! Her Smile and Laugh would light up the room! She was special to me.. I only got to work with her for two years at Oolitic, but those two years we had a special bond between each other and I continued to think of her and call her! " She called me the daughter she never had " She will be sadly missed by many people that her life has touched over the years... she was an amazing women which I loved so very much! May God wrap his arms around each and everyone of you and give you peace and comfort as you journey through this life without her! Prayers are with you all!
