Obituary of Saundra Shockley

Bedford Saundra Sandi Shockley, 72, of Bedford, died at 6:05 pm on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Waters of Martinsville. Born January 9, 1941 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Arthur and Sarah (Steward) Kern. She was retired and attended the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include a brother, Arthur Kern of Gosport; three nephews, Lonnie and Robert Kern of Martinsville and Jeffery Scott Calvert of Greenwood; four nieces, Mindy Collier of Gosport, Sheryl Kingston of Paoli, Connie Norris and Chris Wampler; a cherished loved one, Denise Domagolik of Indianapolis; the Kern family of Bedford; several extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Diana Kay Kern. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 16th at Beech Grove Cemetery with Shannon Benham officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm on Wednesday, January 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
