Obituary of Harold Wayne Shepherd

Bedford Harold Wayne Shepherd, 65, of Bedford, and formerly of Avoca, died at 3:25 pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Core Nursing and Rehab. Center in Bedford. Born November 6, 1945, he was the son of Paul Jr. and Eva L. (Wolfe) Shepherd. He married Gloria Herrada and she survives. He retired from NWSC Crane after thirty-three years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford. Survivors include his wife, Gloria of Avoca; his father, Paul Jr. of Vincennes; one son, Mark Alan Shepherd of Arizona; a sister, Karen Fisk of Benton, Ky; a brother, Mike Shepherd of Vincennes; grandchildren, Austin Shepherd of Petersburg, IN, Clayton Shepherd, Mark Shepherd, Jr. and Sherokee Shepherd all of Page, AZ; three step-daughters, Debbie Myers and husband, Lanny of Springville, Diana Nicholson and husband, Barney of Bloomington and Mary Covazos of Corpus Christi, TX; five step-sons, Joe Escobedo and wife, Irma, Rick Escobedo and wife, Lolita all of Corpus Christi, TX, Rocky Escobedo and wife, Jill of Bloomington, Boz Johnson and wife, Darlene of Evansville and Carlos Escobedo and wife, Kathy of Bedford; He was preceded in death by his mother. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 26th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kyle Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Friday, November 26th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
