Obituary of Willie E. Sexton

Springville Willie E. Sexton, 82, of Springville, died at 5:35 am on Monday, October 16, 2006 at the Bedford Hospitality House following a lengthy illness. Born September 2, 1924 in Wayne Co., KY, he was the son of Sherman and Myrtie (Hammond) Sexton. He retired after forty-five years of service at Woolery Stone Co. and was a member of Laborers International Union. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Survivors include three daughters, Pauline Rowe and her husband, John of Oolitic; Mary Sue (Susie) Turner and her husband, Greg of Avoca; Debbie Adams and her husband Chuck of Bedford; three grandchildren, David Sexton of Bedford; Melissa Rowe of Oolitic and Atalie Adams-Anderson of Bedford; four great grandchildren, Shane Rowe, Emma Grubb, Titan Sexton and Jade Anderson; three sisters, Gertie Hammond, Evalee Riddle and Gladys Tucker all of Monticello, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Alvin, Dewey, Jim and Obie Sexton and one sister, Martha Godsey. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 19th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating.
