Obituary of Forrest H. Sears
Bedford Forrest H. Sears, 85, of Bedford, died at 2:40 am on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born March 6, 1923 in Bedford, he was the son of Fredrick David and Nellie May Dott (Plake) Sears. He married Edith R. Goodson on June 25, 1942 and she survives. He was a sheet metal worker and member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #216 & 20. He had farmed for many years and was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church and Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Edith of Bedford; one son, Howard Sears of Bedford; one daughter, Yvonne Stewart of Bedford; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gayle Conrad Sears; two grandsons, Ronnie Sears and Travis Eads; two brothers, Estel and Larry Sears; one sister, Wilma Hartman. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 8th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Hanson Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 7th at the Day & Carter Morutary.
